Academic Position in Department of Information Systems of Informatics Institute
Department of Information Systems of the Informatics Institute, Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey has academic positions open in the following areas:

The Informatics Institute is a rapidly developing (post) graduate level unit that has interdisciplinary teaching and research programs supported by various other departments at METU. The Institute has close connections with the Technopolis (Science Park) of METU. Most incoming faculty members have access to university housing. The institute has also second nonthesis master programs, which provide financial benefits to faculty members in addition to salary.

MODSIM: Modeling and Simulation
C4ISR: Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance
and Reconnaissance
The candidates should have a PhD
in a related area such as Computer, Electrical or Industrial Engineering with
research focus in MODSIM, Operations Research, Information Systems and
Networking for Defence Applications. Duties include graduate level teaching,
supervision of MS theses and research. The PhD program is planned for 2008.

Open Academic Positions at the Cognitive Science Programme
Öğretim Üyesi veya Görevlisi Alınacaktır
ODTÜ, Enformatik Enstitüsü, Bilişsel Bilimler Ana Bilim Dalına öğretim üyesi veya görevlisi alınacaktır. Alınacak öğretim elemanlarından lisansüstü seviyede öğretim, danışmanlık ve aktif bir araştırma programı sürdürmeleri istenecektir.
Aranan Nitelikler:
- Başvuru tarihinde Bilişsel Bilimler ya da ilgili bir alandan (örneğin, Bilgisayar, Psikoloji, Nörobilim, Dilbilim) doktora derecesine sahip olmak.
- Doktora sonrasında Bilişsel Bilimler'in belli bir konusuna odaklanarak yayın yapmış olmak.
- Özellikle Bilgisayarlı Bilişsel Modelleme, Bilişsel Psikoloji veya Bilişsel Sinirbilim alanlarında uzmanlaşmış olmak tercih sebebidir.
- ODTÜ'de öğretim dili İngilizce olduğundan adaylarda çok iyi düzeyde İngilizce yeterliği aranacaktır.
